Samuel Diaz
Program Manager

Samuel Diaz develops, coordinates, and implements projects for philanthropic programs. Before joining Resources Legacy Fund, he served at the California Governor’s Office of Planning and Research, working with public agencies, community organizations, businesses, and philanthropic partners to help advance climate resiliency, renewable energy, and environmental justice. Sam also served as an Executive Fellow at the California Natural Resources Agency, helping develop California’s climate change policies and grant programs. Prior to that, he worked for 1000 Friends of Oregon, a land-use advocacy nonprofit. He is an alumnus of the Clean Energy Leadership Institute and a member of the California Latino Capitol Association Foundation and a graduate of Lewis & Clark Law School with a certificate in Environmental, Natural Resources and Energy Law.
