Michael Weber

Michael Weber provides strategic advice for oceans, coasts, and fisheries programs. He was a program officer at RLF for 11 years, until 2018. Before that, Mike was an advisor to the California Fish and Game Commission in the implementation of the Marine Life Management Act. Previously, he directed programs on marine protected areas, sea turtle conservation, and fisheries conservation at the Center for Marine Conservation in Washington, DC. He also worked as special assistant to the director of the National Marine Fisheries Service in the U.S. Department of Commerce. Mike has written books, articles, and reports and has advised in the production of television specials and exhibits on marine conservation.
